How do you convey exceptional craftsmanship, transportable and easy to activate anywhere? That was the question posed by the LVMH Métiers d'Excellence programme. Our answer: the trunk.

H.stories imagined and designed two trunk concepts, DISCOVER ME and SHOW ME, conceived as nomadic objects in service of knowledge. A straight, rigorous form, like luxury craftsmanship. A timeless architecture, inspired by Louis Vuitton trunks. A blend of organic materials: wood, leather and brass.

Every detail tells the crafts: leaflets, assembled or detached, present the history of each skill; a dedicated face carries the talents' testimonies; and inside the drawers, the tools of leatherwork are staged. A miniature scenography that reveals the precision of the materials and the gestures.

This project reflects an essential part of our craft: the design of exceptional objects. Before the event, there is the idea, the form, the material. H.stories designs these scenographic objects the way it produces its events, in service of a story and with care for every detail.

Behind the scenes

Two trunk concepts imagined from scratch, DISCOVER ME and SHOW ME. Research into form and architecture inspired by Louis Vuitton trunks, selection of materials (wood, leather, brass), design of the narrative leaflets, the talents' face and the tool drawers, all the way to photorealistic 3D renders. An object built to be transportable, activatable and true to the demands of luxury craftsmanship.

The most asked questions

Does H.stories design bespoke objects and scenographies?

Yes. Beyond events, we design exceptional objects and bespoke scenographic devices. For LVMH Métiers d'Excellence, we imagined two trunks, DISCOVER ME and SHOW ME, from concept to 3D renders: form, architecture, materials and staging of the crafts. It is the same approach as our event scenography, an object in service of a story.

What does designing an object like this trunk involve?

Designing an exceptional trunk means combining form, material and narrative. Every choice, an architecture inspired by Louis Vuitton trunks, a blend of wood, leather and brass, leaflets that tell each craft, serves the transmission of know-how. This approach draws on our design and production expertise, applied this time to a nomadic object rather than an event.
