Reims, 2023. A mansion under renovation. An official presentation of the future campus to be held within days, before high-level institutional guests, prefecture and local officials. And a building that was not ready to receive them.
H.stories was called in to design an understated scenography and turn a construction site into a venue for an official reception, worthy of the expected guests.
Two hours before the guests arrived, the temperature inside exceeded 40°C. The client needed an immediate solution. In under two hours, our teams sourced, transported, installed and commissioned around ten air-conditioning units, creating the necessary outlets without damaging the venue. In parallel, we set up a fully confidential coffee welcome to limit the number of people on site. The public saw nothing. That was exactly the point.
This project captures the essence of what we do: producing an exceptional event in Reims where conditions don't allow it, and absorbing the unexpected without anyone noticing. The best event productions are often the ones no one notices.
